Vera Wang truly shows us that if at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

Let's be real-- Vera Wang is basically synonymous with fashion. The woman is a style. Icon.

She's one of the most recognized names in the fashion industry. Even if you're not a super-fashionista, you probably have heard of her! She's great.

Her dresses are all over the red carpet and on prominent political figures.

Here's the thing...she didn't always get what she wanted.

Vera actually started figure skating at a young age and tried out for the U.S. figure skating team but didn't make it (although I'm sure her try-out outfit was probably on point).

When she was rejected, that's when she decided to go into fashion.

I know, I know, thank God she was rejected or we wouldn't be blessed with her beautiful designs!

But seriously, Vera is one of the most successful designers out there. This shows us that even if we think we're a failure, it may just be another great opportunity in disguise. She also exemplifies that even the people that we think are most successful have ups and downs.

She shows us even if we hit a bump in the road, with a little help (like help from LITRD!) we can still be absolutely amazing.
