Confident: Feeling or showing confidence in oneself; self-assured.

Mindy Kaling may not seem like an obvious choice for our WCW, but that's mainly why she is. This lady is cool, calm, and collected in all of the right ways.

Personally, I, like many others, fell in love with her as she ditz-ily bopped around on "The Office." After reading her first book, "Why is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (and Other Concerns)," I saw that she was quite the opposite of her male-dependent character.

Mindy writes, acts, is a stand-up comedian, went to Dartmouth--the girl's pretty much a jane of all trades!

She's incredibly hilarious and talented, but the best thing about Mindy, and why she's our choice of the week, isn't because of her talent, but because of her attitude.

Mindy doesn't care what people think about her. She's incredibly confident and says her parents raised her that way. Instead of the "woe is me" mentality, she rather blend in by just believing in herself.

That belief in herself has gotten her far and can teach the rest of us a lesson.

Instead of doubting yourself and questioning if you can do something, just do it! You can do anything you put your mind to! So what if some people think your dreams are too big or your ideas aren't good? You like them, right? That's what matters!

We here at LITRD don't doubt you. Not at all. We have that belief in you and want to instill even more by helping you REACH all of those goals--no matter how big!

It is a focal point of our movement to empower others, especially women. We invite you

back this same time next week to see what person local or abroad we will be

highlighting for the week!

XO,

LITRD Staff (Michelle)
