Striking: attracting attention by reason of being unusual, extreme, or prominent.

Kendra Scott is a successful entrepreneur, jewelry designer, philanthropist, and mother. She sets herself apart from other entrepreneurs and is genuine and caring which is what makes her so striking and unique. Kendra Scott started out making hats for cancer patients losing their hair to chemotherapy. She then began creating jewelry in her home and selling it to local retailers in Austin, Texas where she lives.

She started her jewelry business with her three-month-old son and only $500. She has

now transformed her business into a multi-million-dollar company. Kendra Scott is now named the most influential woman in Central Texas by the Austin Business Journal. She was also listed as a “Fashion Influencer” in the Pantone Color

Report in 2013 and won the Austin Under 40 Award in Business and Entrepreneurship

category. In addition to those titles and awards Kendra Scott was named “Austinite of

the Year” in 2013 and was given the Lady Bird Johnson Humanitarian of the Year Award at Luminaria 2013.

Kendra Scott jewelry has been seen on various celebrities such as Katherine Heigel

and Sofia Vergara. Her jewelry is affordably priced and made out of natural stones and custom shapes. Her focus is on Family, Fashion, and Philanthropy. She has donated $1 million and $50,000 pieces of custom jewelry while holding philanthropy events and working with over 1,000 local and national organizations.

It is truly striking for someone to create so much success for themselves and their family while also being able to give back so much to people in need worldwide. We thank striking women like Kendra Scott for being positive influencers and role models for women.

It is a focal point of our movement to empower others, especially women. We invite you

back this same time next week to see what person local or abroad we will be

highlighting for the week!

“The truest form of success is to give back in a meaningful way.” –Kendra Scott
