Flashback Forward is the debut EP from Marketing
Maven Edwina Gray. Though her career has been built
via the mediums of media and marketing; creativity is
at the core of all her work.

Flashback Forward is comprised of 9 songs with 4
features. Leading the way for this project are two
singles. Butterscotch Lemondrop and Easy Peasy.
Summer anthems in the making.

Edwina’s earliest memory of singing was at age 5. After being called out by a substitute teacher while the class sang a
nursery rhyme. This prompted Edwina to ask, could
she sing at church the following Sunday. From that moment, an undying love was formed.

Edwina has been trained in Theater, as well as Voice. With a degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and Marketing.

Edwina’s musical influences are eclectic and timeless. Which includes artists, such as: Whitney Houston, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Jazmine Sullivan, Ari Lennox, and Dileesa.

The concept behind Flashback Forward, is like that of an arrow. You draw back to the anchor point and release to gain momentum; to move forward. The entire project has a familiar 90s sound. While maintaining a galactic futuristic aesthetic and vibe, this highlights the notion that we’re constantly between moments in time.

Flashback Forward also facilitates the introduction to Alien Avatar, Hadassah. The given name to the biblical Queen Esther, at birth.

We are set to shoot 5 videos, to amplify the messaging of this project. Stay tuned!
